Kenosha Fire Department Honor Guard Team "Caring and Rembering is our top priority"
The Kenosha Fire Department Honor Guard was formed in 1995 through the cooperation of Local 414, the Firefighter Association of Kenosha and City of Kenosha Fire Administration. The Team's primary mission (responsibility) is to represent the fire department at funerals for both active and retired members. Among some of the duties or responsibilities that are included in our mission are: Assisting family members in planning and/or organizing arrangements for a deceased member, providing both Honorary and Active pall bearers, standing "Honors" at casket side, "Posting of Colors" during memorial services, as well as, ringing of a traditional fire bell (Last Alarm) as a tribute to those that have fallen during their service to the community and our nation. Other services offered would be to coordinate with Kenosha Area Pipes & Drum Association for bagpipers and drummers to provide final respects to those that have given their life to serve others, along with any other logistical planning that would be need with local funeral homes.
